Pictured is our very own Kip Thomas! Kip volunteers to tutor two evenings every week in the comfort of our home. She is much loved and respected by our kids in whose lives she is making a huge difference! Thank YOU, Kip Thomas. You are so very much appreciated.
“Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.” – Marion Wright Edelman, founder of the Children’s Defense Fund
The Covenant Children’s Home is in need of those willing to serve. We have ample opportunities across a wide range of interests and abilities from which to choose. We are looking forward to meeting you and engaging with you as we serve our children’s ministry.
Transportation: Transporting our children to and from school as well as sporting events.
Mentors: Develop a positive role model relationship with one of our children by acting as an aunt, uncle, or grandparent taking the child for
Ice cream or a movie, etc.
Respite Care: Individual(s) who can give the house parents a break for a “date night.”
Tutors: Individual(s) who can help our children with homework, school projects, etc. They would love one on one attention several times a week after school in the comfort of our home. In most cases our children are at least one grade level behind their peers and lack basic skills in reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
Household Chores: Cleaning and Cooking are endless chores that need constant attention
Light Maintenance: Painting and yard work as well as other areas of general maintenance are always needed.
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. – 1 Timothy 1:12
